![]() Some other things of note, & it should be noted that my 790 is a Desktop Model (I previously said SFF as it has SFF riser cards but the SFF for Dell is their subname for a smaller SFF model thing), are The Optiplex 790 does not support Ivy Bridge (3rd Gen) Processors on it's latest BIOS A22 ![]() So even though the Chipset supports the processor, the board does not, even with the newest A22 BIOS. The 790 Board doesn't officially say that it supports the Ivy Bridge (3rd Generation Core iX like the i5-3470) processors, even though the Q65 Chipset does, but I found things saying anecdotally that it works. I attempted to Move the CPU from the 3010 into the 790 Board. If not you should be able to move the button.Īlright, a little update. The LEDs are not required, & any Optiplex should have the same button, but no guarantees. The things to be concerned with are the Front panel LED status lights, & the power button, as both are non-Standard.Supported Chipsets include B75 Express, Intel P67 Express, Intel C206, Intel Q75 Express, Intel C216, Intel Q77 Express, Intel H61 Express, Intel Z68 Express, Intel H67 Express, Intel Z75 Express, Intel H77 Express, Intel Z77. ![]() Any LGA1155 board will support it, & all non H61 boards will give it more features. The CPU supports all Chipsets compatible with the LGA1155 (Sometimes written FCLGA1155) Socket, & the board has the oldest chipset it supports, H61.The front panel Audio Ports & USB Ports connect to standard HD Audio & USB2 headers that almost all boards have.Whatever board in it will require whatever it's appropriate Power Supply is, but it will fit all standard-sized PSUs The case supports the PS2 Power Supply Size, often referred to also as ATX, though that is technically not correct.Yes, the Case supports the Micro-ATX Motherboard standard. ![]() Basically the OP asked if he can move a different similar system into his case. ![]()
